Innergy Ondol · existing floors · app demo

The floor in your pocket: two zones, read from the probes already in the floor

A demo of the app Ondol Life customers could use with the floors they already have. It assumes Uriel's UTH-300RS, the RS485 version of the UTH-300 already installed, on the same floor probes, so nothing is dug up. A small low-voltage gateway relays RS485 to the home Wi-Fi; the thermostat still switches the heaters and keeps its own cut-off. Readings stay in the house. Change the weather on the right and watch the floor store and release heat.

What this needs from UrielUTH-300RS + our gateway: each feature, and the email question that decides it

    • Uses the floor probes already in the floorQ3, Q4
    • Both zones read and set over RS485, on one unitQ1, Q2
    • Floor temperature, not just room airQ5
    • Change the target and night setback from the phoneQ6
    • The 6-hour floor historyQ6
    • Our gateway may connect; no Uriel server neededQ7, Q9
    • The unit keeps control when Wi-Fi dropsQ8
    • An installer limit that an RS485 write cannot exceedQ8

    What the app shows

    • The floor, not just the air. An ondol floor stores heat; its temperature says how much is left. "Warm for" estimates how long the floor stays above the room once the heater stops.
    • The thermostat decides. The app asks; the unit holds its own limit. A modified app asking for 45 °C is refused and recorded.
    • Wi-Fi is a convenience. When it drops, the unit keeps the floor at its target and the app shows the last reading, read-only.
    • A broken probe fails safe. Unplug zone 2's probe: its heater stops, and the app says why.
    • Korean and US phones, one app. Language and °C/°F are display settings; the unit's limits do not change with them.
    • Nothing leaves the house. No account, no server: the record lives on the thermostat.

Demo figures: zone 1 is the 36-bar living room (5.4 kW), zone 2 the 12-bar bedroom (1.8 kW), as in the floor-layout model. The floor and air respond on a simplified heat model chosen to look like a stone thermal store, not measured. The 35 °C target ceiling and 40 °C cut-off are placeholders: the UTH-300 series controls from −20 to 120 °C (Uriel's product page), so the real floor limit is an installer setting Uriel must confirm can be locked.
